Some self-contained shenanigans in the form of solo or small group stories featuring the gang; lost a little momentum from the last volume, but still fun enough to crack the spine on during a cold winter day to tide you over in between game sessions.

I loved it even more than previous one. But I kind of hate the way how panels with multiple charactera are drawn. Everytime when there is more than one person, okay, more than two - faces are looking like minimum of effort was put into them. Still, if you're looking for good fantasy story filled with fun, this is it.

This volume is a return to form for this series, with the characters back in Baldur's Gate after following D&D events to Ravenloft and the Spine of the World. This is more character-focused than some other books, since each issue focuses on a different hero in the group instead of the overall adventures of the group. That made for somewhat smaller stories, since each character only gets an issue instead of parts of a five or six issue arc, but there is also a bit more variety, and the final issue focusing on Boo was quite amusing, as well (though Shandie sort of got the short shrift, there). It resolved some outstanding issues from previous volumes, setting us up with a cleaner slate for the next volume. These smaller, character-driven stories are enjoyable, but I do think Dungeons & Dragons comics are better with a grand adventure, so I look forward to that in future volumes.

Taking a different approach to the previous volumes, this series returns the Heroes to Baldur's Gate and gives us five 'episodes', each focussed on a side-quest for the main characters as they return to their 'home base'. The scale is necessarily smaller and it works really well to push forward the development of each character (even Boo). I'm looking forward hopefully to another intsallment tied to the upcoming 'Descent into Avernus' adventure campaign, what with it being set in Baldur's Gate an Taking a different approach to the previous volumes, this series returns the Heroes to Baldur's Gate and gives us five 'episodes', each focussed on a side-quest for the main characters as they return to their 'home base'. Unremarkable but entertaining. The heroes were barely all together in this one, with each having their own solo-chapter that fleshed out their backstories and present motivations further. Worth the time for fans for this series. This book in three words: tropey, action-packed, quick Notes/Quotes and other things to remember: Don't split the party.

Fun series. Brings the characters to life. I liked the excursion to Regulus in Mechanus.
